Wilson, S. and Popat, K. (2008) FeedForward: Remixing the information environment. In: Third International Conference on Open Repositories 2008, 1-4 April 2008, Southampton, United Kingdom.

FeedForward is a desktop application being developed under the JISC repository innovation funding strand, and pulls together the key protocols for accessing both academic repositories and Web 2.0 services within a single information workflow. By being able to treat repository services in the same manner as blogs, social bookmarking, and media sharing sites, we open possibilities to individuals to gather, mix, and disseminate items and \"complex objects\" that span both formal and informal services. For example, to be able to combine de.icio.us bookmarks, Flickr images, and blog posts into a submission to a repository such as IntraLibrary as an IMS Content Package; or to collect citations from bibliographic repositories and drop onto del.icio.us, Connotea or other services. Our poster explains some of the basic features, and how to download and get started with the alpha release.
