Abstract
Since 2007 eIFL.net has a federated repository for 97 institutional repositories from 17 developing and transition countries and this number is growing. With the creation of the eIFL federated repository a number of challenges showed up like lack of standards for proper harvesting and lack of compliancy. The poster highlights the developments of open access institutional repositories in developing and transition countries, presents a country case study (Ukraine) and provides recommendations.
